The Farang Bar Guesthouse is located in a courtyard style garden. There are 9 spartan rooms in a low row house with a bathroom outside in the backyard. The Farang Bar Guesthouse is open from 6 am to midnight (outside these hours you can just knock on the door); cars such as a Suzuki can be rented from 1200 to 1500 Baht, motorcycles for 150 Baht and bicycles for 50 Baht per day . The bar with a restaurant is a popular meeting place for farangs and there is a nice and friendly atmosphere with good cuisine and lots of hanging-around space.

Natcha Guesthouse is located opposite the hospital at the end of a dead-end road, about 50 m (as the crow flies) from the heavily trafficked road. It is a clean and inexpensive guesthouse with several long-term tenants. The adjoining low building has been freshly renovated and is equipped with new furnishings. Signboards on the roadside indicating the entrance to the guesthouse. Several food stalls, simple restaurants and a 7-Eleven store are nearby. Yellow Stone Restaurant situated next to 7-Eleven is a cozy and comfortable option.

New Infinity Guesthouse is located opposite the Farang Bar. The travel agency with the same name is upstairs and there are four small rooms with fan and shared bathroom. Here you can book PADI diving course packages with Aa from "New Way Diving". Dive instructors come from 10 different countries. Internet access equipped with Skype phones costing 40 Baht per hour. Free pick up service from train station or bus station to the Infinity Guesthouse is available. There is a good selection of second hand books for sale in many languages.

The San Tavee New Resthouse is set in a cozy courtyard and the small garden of Mr Tan and his family.It seems that the noisy street outside does not exist, as it is so quiet and peaceful. The family business is trading in tea and Thai coffee, the latter is roasted in the backyard (and if you try a cup of coffee, you will get a huge piece of cake for free). The simple rooms at the San Tavee New Resthouse is very clean and well tended, the more expensive ones are equipped with double bed and attached bathroom. Motorcycles for rent from 200 Baht per day, laundry service and tickets for boats and VIP-Buses are available. Mr Tan speaks good English and he gives discount for rooms and motorcycles.

Suda Guesthouse offers beautiful and neat rooms with hot water, fan or air-conditioning; bicycles and motorcycles for rent; the female owner is very friendly and helpful and she speaks English well. This place is highly recommended by Lonely Planet Thailand.

The Ritzy Mansion is a newly built 4-storey apartment house with large, clean rooms that are equipped with fridge, cable TV, hot water and decent furnishing. Room service, free coffee and car parking. Excellent!
