The Baan Sukchoke Country Resort is 5 km away from the Floating Market which can be reached by boat. It is located about 2 km from the center of Damnoen Saduak and can be reached by Tuk Tuk or motorbike taxi.
This is a very beautiful resort. The houses are built in the water and above the water. They have two floors so that families can occupy the lower and upper floor together. Some rooms are small, others very spacious. Family rooms cost 1500 Baht, triple rooms 1000 Baht, fan rooms 300 Baht, aircon rooms 450 Baht.
The restaurant is open from 8 am to 10 pm. The restaurant doubles as an antique museum.

The Memory Hotel which in Thai is called Ruan Thai Resort, is situated at the main road to the left of the Floating Market. It is new and very clean and offers total luxury for an incredibly low price. The rooms with jacuzzi are just 200 Baht more "expensive". Exceptionally good value for money.
Maybe the prices will increase drastically within a few months.

The Panpook Cafe is not located on the water, but in the shopping area to the east of the canal.
There is a blackboard in the background describing how the 5 most popular coffee preparations of the Thais are brewed in Panpook Cafe:
1. Espresso: Pure rich coffee that is ground shortly before brewing to keep it fresh
2. Caffe Mocha: Dark chocolate with a shot of espresso, mixed with steamed milk, and cocoa powder
3. Caffe Latte: One short of espresso with steamed milk that reaches almost to the top of the cup
4. Capuccino: A short of espresso, topped with creamed and hot milk, foamy milk
5. Americano: One shot of espresso and mixed with a cup of hot water
In addition Panpook Cafe offers cocoa and various types of tea, namely Green Tea, White Tea, Rose Tea, Saffron Tea, Lemon Tea, Aulong Tea and Dired Roselle.

A sweet nice place to relax with air-con. The cozy place has homemade Ice Cream, minced ice with extras for dessert (often called ABC) and fresh coffee. Unique is the huge selection of comic books in Thai language.
Nearby is the Thai Fast Food Restaurant Rung Fah, open 7 am to 3 pm.

There are public buses (Bus78) and Minibusses (996) from Bangkok's New Southern Bus Terminal, also known as Sai Tai Taling Chan locally, (Pinklao-Nakhonchaisi Road) to Samut Songkhram in Ratchaburi province.
Aircon bus 78 starts at 5 am at an interval of 20 minutes. The trip takes about 2 hours and it costs 64 Baht. Last bus leaves at 21 hours.
Minivan996 from Sai Tai every 30 Min. from 6 am until 21 hours for 80 Baht, takes about 1 1/2 hours.

For leaving Damnoen Saduak on your own, you take a songthaew beside the fresh market, which is situated to the east of H325.
