Two Rocks Bungalows is one of the most laid-back setups on Ban Tai beach. The wooden bungalows here are positioned around a sandy palm grove just off the beach. Only one bungalow actually sits on the beach, but the rest are not far away. The cheapest fan huts here are very worn, but are passable and popular among backpackers. A more comfortable choice are the newer, larger fan rooms that are in much better condition but are built in a single building. Some comfortable air-con rooms with hot water sit toward the back of the property.

The bungalows at Milky Bay all come with air-con and hot water. Inside rooms are nicely decorated with soft cotton sheets and furniture. Each room has a spacious balcony with sea or garden views. Kiteboarding Asia is a branch of a big chain of schools and the biggest on Koh Phangan, internationally accepted.
You will find perfect conditions for learning how to kiteboard here in Ban Tai. The water is really shallow for a long way, so you can always just walk back if you don't succeed in kiting back.
The course is 3 days long. On the first day you learn about the kite. On the second day you get pulled through the water by the kite, but without a board in order to get the manouevering right: Body Dragging. On the third days you start your first attempts on the board.
Nice teachers, overall there is a very relaxed vibe.

Wat Khao Tam is small temple, there are only a couple of monks in residence. Despite this there is chanting and mediation every day start from 6.00 am - 6.00 pm.

The temple also serves as a Buddhist Meditation Center in the Theravadin tradition, and most months of the year an American-Australian couple lead 10 day meditation retreats. For the information you can visit the website at www.watkowtham.org.
A spectacular sunset viewpoint can also be reached at the top of the mountain where you can cast your eyes up and down the southern coast of Koh Phangan and out across the sea to the distant island of Koh Samui.
