Munchies Resort has bungalows that are decorated in classic wood & bamboo style with fans and double beds. The restaurant and bar offers delicious food and cable TV.
The resort is a little hard to find as it is a good distance away from the road.

Copa Cabana has a handful of large stone and concrete bungalows, and they are building more to augment their collection of cramped little shabby beach huts. The old units are very worn inside and out, while the new ones are very large and well-built for much more comfort and far fewer bugs and unpleasant smells. A pool is also under construction that will greatly improve the value and atmosphere here. The Australian and Thai management is friendly, and Wan, the hostess, is very eager to please. This should be a great place when all is said and done.

Phangan Rainbow's bungalows vary in comfort and quality. A few old and very shabby little ones without bathrooms line the narrow unshaded beach here. Larger wooden bungalows are also available, including some lovely new Thai style units with pitched roofs and carved wood decor. These are spotless and spacious, they are quite comfortable. The old huts, while they remain popular among shoestring travellers, detract from the classier feel here provided by the new bungalows and the comfortable beachfront restaurant.

The Jungle House Resort is just what the name promises. The five rustic bungalows are far away from each other and the main road (between Hat Rin/Thong Sala), so you can really enjoy a private atmosphere. It takes just two minutes by foot to the beach. Buncha Samanora succeeds in surprising. If you are fed up with all the beach accommodation, you are right here.
About a kilometer from the main road Ban Khai-Hat Rin, the resort is located in the middle of the jungle. It sits in a little valley, lush hills all around. But the best is that the resort has practically been built into a river which has several waterfalls at this place. So there is a little stream running by almost all the bungalows which makes for a mystic fairytale atmosphere, especially during the rainy season.
There is a restaurant right in the middle of it all which is very relaxed. There is also a viewpoint that can be reached in a short time by foor.
There are parties taking place here on an unregular basis, they are hosted in the big hall built exactly for that at the foot of the hill.

Secret Hut generates its secretness especially from the fact that it is almost impossible to find that place. But once you've reached it after a few kilometeres through the jungle and on bad roads, it is a great place to breathe freely.
The modern and spacious bungalows along the hill offer fantastic views over the jungle all the way to the ocean, there is not much else around.
Attached is the Secret Restaurant, between the bungalows there is a secret waterfall.

Jungle Bar is quite hidden in the jungle. But if you're fed up with the beach nightlife, you are right here. As soon as it is dark you feel like you've come to the end of the world.
How to get there: From the main road in follow the sign 'Palida Resort' (about half way between Thongsala and Ban Tai), then you can't miss it.

Anahata offers a great chance for something different music-wise every Wednesday and Saturday. It's mostly Russian DJs spinning here and it's always a significantly slower mix than in all the other places. Mostly Minimal and Progressive. By 2300 there is always a big crowd dancing.
Only downside: The place always has to close down at 2 Am due to the neighbours.
