Golden Rock Resort is an enchanted little resort which is hard to find. It sits right next to the rocks, bordering Sri Thanu's Northern end. This part of the beach is called Ao Niad and is almost exclusively frequented by Yogis of the Agama Yoga school.
Here you will find old little bungalows with bamboo walls and a restaurant near the rocks. The resort is being managed by a lovely old Thai couple which are called Mama and Papa by most of the guests.
There is a little river going through the resort.
Very relaxed family atmosphere. Small private beach.

This resort is located in a quiet place and offers bungalows in Thai and Italian style. Furthermore, there is a beautifully decorated restaurant with Thai dishes as well as Italian specialties. It is built from mahogany and has little fountains and flowers around.

Phangan Cabana offers 34 well equipped rooms and bungalows, all with en suite bathrooms.
There are 8 luxury Thai style bungalows with A/C and hot water. All rooms are located just near the beach and surrounded by a garden.

The bungalows in Jungle Huts are situated quite close to each other, but they are pretty and well-equipped. On the other part of the resort there is a big house with air-con rooms. Between the bungalows there is a beautiful garden with tropical vegetation.
The restaurant sits along the street and is considered the best on the beach by many people. Especially the curries are very delicious. So good that people don't care much that they have to wait for 30 minutes sometimes.
The resort is one of the oldest around and is being managed by a nice Thai family.
If you rent a motorbike in the shop on the opposite side of the street and are a guest at Jungle Hut you get a 20% discount.

There is a restaurant along the street, nice and wooden.
This family business in a tropical garden has a great atmosphere.

Sunset Cove is a very well designed resort with palmtrees and wooden elements dominating. Little wooden paths lead through the resort, there are lots of plants between the bungalows.
Close to the beach there is a very nice restaurant which also has a little library. Just next to it there is a gorgeous pool which also comes with a jacuzzi and a kid's pool.
The resort is a little elevated above the beach, so almost every corner has some nice views.
In spite of the luxury feeling you still get a family atmosphere here with nice management and staff.

Benjamin Huts follows its slogan 'Simple life, simple place'. It has simple bungalows between palm trees, some of which sit on top of big boulders. There is a little stream running through the resort. Near the beach there is a bar and a volleyball net.

Green View has very simple bungalows from wood and concrete without cover panels inside. The bungalows sit at the foot of a steep rocky hill. The beach is very rocky here.

Big Mountain Hot Pan was the first restaurant on the island offering this very special meal. By now, there are several others, most of which you can find around Ban Tai.
The concept is simple and delicious at the same time:
You have an aluminum pan at your table, set above a wooden fire. On the pan you can barbecue stuff, around it there is a little 'ditch' with soup which gets spicer by the minute as all the juices from the barbecue drip into it.
There is a huge buffet with lots of veggies, different meats, seafood as well as spices, sauces, fruits and prepared things like fish cakes and meatballs.
It works as an all-you-can-eat thing, but if you leave something on your plate, you will have to pay extra.
For dessert: Homemade coconut ice cream, delicious!!
