Pakbara has a long tradition with bungalows and restaurants along the beach, as the wide road from La-Ngu affords easy access to the beautiful beach. The restaurants along the beach are famous for their excellent seafood. The bungalows are cheap with a certain amount of comfort and often with a splendid view of the sea. Bungalows for backpackers were built nearer to the pier along the river mouth beach.

The choices of accommodation in Pakbara are either on the beach or on the road side, almost all of them have no own restaurant. Most of the rooms and bungalows are equipped with private bathroom and fan, but without mosquito net, even though there are many mosquitoes around.
