By Bus From Bus Terminal 1 situated on Burin Road you can take local buses as well as direct buses to Bangkok.
Bus terminal 2 is located at H2, 2 km north of the city. From here the long distance buses for all other directions depart. It can be reached by songthaew every 20–30 minutes, the fare is 6 baht.
By Train All long distance trains between Bangkok and Ubon stop at Korat Railway Station. Besides that you can also board the trains, with the exception of the Express, at the centrally located Thanon Chira Station. There are two trains to Ubon during the day, at 10.02 h and 12.12 h, via stop in Surin (fare 32 baht), arrival at 14.10 and 17.55 h. The city buses no. 1, 2 and 3 go the railway station.
