By Train:
From Bangkok there are 5 day trains departing between 8.05 am and 3.35 pm, traveling time about 3 hours. Tickets from 184 Baht (third class Rapid) to 480 Baht (Aircon Sprinter).
From the South the Sprinter 40 arrives at 16.44 pm, leaving Chumphon at 12.46 pm and Surat Thani at  10.40 am (with connections by bus from the ferries).



By Bus:
The aircon bus stop (Rot Tour) is located directly at the new night market opposite  the post office.
From Bangkok (150 km) by aircon bus 977, 72 and 74 every 30 minutes till 8.30 pm, for 112 Baht.

From Cha-am, second class aircon buses run frequently for 30 Baht, from Hua Hin for 45 Baht, arriving at Phetcharat Hospital and at BIG C Department Store on the H4.

From further South (Chumphon, Surat Thani, Phuket and other cities) second class aircon buses stop near Khao Wang (by the side of H4).

All day there are buses from Kanchanaburi and bus no. 73 from Ratchaburi for 50 Baht, traveling time 1 hour.
