Several eating places can be found near the pier of Pakbara. Mainly travelers who need to eat between two means of transport patronize these joints, so the food is accordingly.
The restaurants along the main beach area are famous for their excellent seafood. Thai families and groups come here especially in the late afternoon and on weekends to enjoy the great food together with the cooling breeze.  Some of these restaurants built a few bungalows along the beach as well. Very rarely a farang chooses to stay there. 
The slightly expensive seafood restaurants are located on the roadside as well as on the beach, approximately 1 to 3 km from the harbor. At the harbor and in front of the cinema on the main road there are several simple and also some better restaurants.
