Flights

Phuket International Airport (code HKT) is located between Nai Yang and Mai Khao.  Taxis take you to the airport. Most hotels have a shuttle service you can book at the front desk.

Phuket is an international airport and planes leave to  many destinations.
Thai Airways, Bangkok Air, Thai Air Asia and many international airlines fly from Phuket, for example, Singapore Airlines, Air Berlin, Condor, Dragon Air.

By Train via Surat Thani

Trains run from Surat Thani to Bangkok (train station Phunpin). You can either take a bus or minivan to the train station in Surat Thani.
A new train line from Phuket to Surat Thani is under construction, but will take a few years to complete.

By Minibus to other destinations

Minibuses also called minivans leave from the bus station in Phuket Town. If you book through a travel agent they will also pick you up at your accommodation.


By Bus to other destinations

From the new Phuket Bus Terminal buses depart to all tourist destinations in the south and to Bangkok and from there onwards to the North. Likewise buses come from the same destinations to Phuket Town.

By Boat and Ferry

Speedboats to Krabi, Nopparat Thara Pier and Krabi Town go via Koh Yao. They depart from the ferry pier on the East Coast. Bang Rong Pier.

The ferries to  Koh Lanta and Koh Phi Phi leave at or near Rasada Pier in the southeast of Phuket Town. Taxis are the most convenient means of transport from Nai Yang.

The ferries to Koh Raja leave in the south.

Nai Yang to Koh Sireh: 600 Baht
Nai Yang to Deep Sea Port: 750 Baht
Nai Yang to Chalong: 650 Baht
Nai Yang to Karon: 750 Baht
Nai Yang to Surin: 550 Baht
Nai Yang to Kamala: 600 Baht
