This road leads you through a beautiful rural landscape with breathtaking karst stone formations. Those of you who want to kayak. Ao Tha Len is the place to do so.

Rents for motorbikes start at 180 Baht per day, depending on the duration of the lease. Cars start at 1.000 Baht per day.The car rentals are located at the airport. You can find Avis, Budget and Hertz as well as local companies such as Krabi Car Rent. Cars can also be rented with a chauffeur if you do not want to drive yourself. Most Travel Agencies also rent motorbikes or just ask at the front desk of your accommodation.

From Ao Nang, follow the road out of the village, pass Mac Donald's and the post office, then stay on the main road until you come to the T-junction with Nopparat Thara Road, turn right and take the next left on H4034. Follow the road and turn right in Khao Thong. After 3 kilometers you see the sign Phu Tara resort on your right. Enter and enjoy a dip in the clear fresh water of their spring. You can relax in one of the salas by the water. The fee for swimming is 30 Baht.

Go back to the main road, turn right and follow the road for another 4 kilometers, then turn left at the sign Ao Tha Len. On your left hand side you see Gillhams Fishing Resort, an excellent spot for anglers from all over the world. Interested in fishing? Day and half day fishing is available. Walk-Ins are welcome and the restaurant is open to the public as well.

From Gillham´s you just follow the road and pass farm houses, you see the rural life of Muslim villagers and have some spectacular views on the karst stone islands in the Andaman Sea. When the road comes to a T-Junction you take a left and follow it until it ends. You have the Pier on your right and a Muslim Restaurant built on stilts over the ocean to your left. This is also the home of Krabi Sea Kayak. Here you can go kayaking, a great experience in Ao Tha Len.

Enjoy a cold drink and hospitality from the heart at the Bananas...on your way back. Here you meet fellow travellers and can chill out by the beach

On your way back take the same route, pass Gillhams and turn left at the t-junction, follow the road for another 6 kms until you get to the next t-junction and take a left and visit Tha Phom Klong Song Nam. Just follow the road until it ends and you are in front of the entrance. Then go back, pass Phu Thara Resort and Khao Tong and follow H4034. This road takes you back to Ao Nang.

Tha Pom Klong Song Nam (Two waters meet)is well known for its crystal clear water stream. Sea water meets fresh water during the high tide resulting in a mixture of waters in the stream.

Tha Pom Klong Song Nam is a beautiful area five kilometers in length. It is unique for its outstandingly clear emerald-green waters and its location on the tide line. The stream water is alternatively fresh or brackish depending upon the state of the tides. This has resulted in the development of three different forest systems in a very concentrated area.
A boardwalk leads you though the park. The admission fee for adults is 100 baht.Children 30 baht. In order to keep this fragile ecological system intact swimming is prohibited. However, there is a pool nearby where you can take a dip.

Tha Pom Tha Pom Klong Song Nam is about 40 km. from Krabi town.
