From Ao Nang follow the H4203 that takes you out of the village, pass Mc Donalds, the post office and turn right to Shell Fossil Beach on H4203. At the big roundabout turn left on H4204, follow the road until you get to the T-junction (PTT petrol station on your right), turn right into 4034. Follow the road and turn left at the first traffic light (Shell Petrol Station on your left). Then turn right into H4 towards Trang.
At the third set of traffic lights, before Big C,  you already see the sign  Wat Tham Sua , take a left and after 2 kms you see the entrance of the temple to your left.  Beware of the many monkeys that are eager to steal things from you. Do not feed them or try to pet them they easily become aggressive. The fit travellers can now climb up  1,272 uneven steps up to the temple at the summit. Alternatively there is a flight of steps just behind the Chinese Pagoda, these will take you into a small valley where you can admire 100 years old trees and the lush rainforest with its inhabitants. Small huts along the way serve the monks as meditation points.

Wat Tham Sua (Tiger Cave) (Wat Tham Sua (Tiger Cave)) (Krabi)

Wat Tham Sua is also known as Tiger Cave. Inside the cave there are what appears to be tiger paw prints in the stone. It's situated in the middle of a lush forest with enormous and ancient trees.

The surrounding area is covered with large trees most of them hundreds of years old, particularly in the Khiriwong Valley. Mountains are on all sides and there are many smaller caves. Walk straight through and take the steps to your left, opposite the white Buddha statue. The main tourist attraction in the temple complex is the 1,272 step climb up a limestone mountain to see the footprint of the Buddha. Even if you are in good shape the heat and humidity make this a difficult hike. Once you make it to the top, you are rewarded with stunning 360 degree view of the surrounding countryside and the Andaman Sea.

Wat Tham Sua is 9 km. north of Krabi Town.

Krabi

Take the same road back just up to the Highway H4. Turn left and follow the road to Nua Klong. At the second traffic light take a right to Koh Siboya and Koh Jum. Follow the road for another 10 kilometers and you can see the ocean. You can park at one of the three resorts, have some refreshment and take a long walk on the beach or have a dip in the sea. At Hat Yao there is no tourist infrastructure besides the three resorts.
