Batik Cloth: These colorful fabrics make wonderful gifts for the ladies. Each piece is individually hand-drawn with wax, painted and boiled (to melt away the wax). Batiks come in the form of scarves, shawls, hand bags, t-shirts, shirts, home decorative, etc.
Pearls: There are a number of pearl farms in Phuket like the ones on Naka Noi Island and Rung Yai Island. Visitors can buy pearls and products from the ocean in stores like the "Phuet Pearl Shop" around Chao Fah-Kwang intersection, "Phuket Seashells" on Chao Fah Road near Rawai Beach, "Koh Kaew Pearls" on Vichit Songkran Road, Phket Pears (factory) in Ban Sapam and souvenir shops around Rawai Bech, Laem Promthep, Patong Beach and the city center around Ratsada and Montri Roads.
