The favourite for tourists was the Kapong Loop which I describe in great detail so that (almost) nothing can go wrong. This route leads to two small waterfalls, a hot spring, two temples, a boarding school, and an old town, all embedded in tropical jungle and traditional rural landscape. On this 150 km self-drive trip adventurous tourists can experience more about Thailand than on week long booked group tours with well trained guides of renowned tour agencies.
