Since his beginnings in Khao Lak Doktor Chusak has been famous for his commercial attitude. Stories like this are galore: A young man had a minor motorcycle accident, went to Dr. Chusak for cleaning the wounds, had to wait for two hours before it was his turn, then it took ten minutes to get the job done. The bill for this minor work was 7000 Baht. The tourist, a policeman from Switzerland, was shocked about this bill of over 200 Franken, corresponding to over 1000 Franken per hour. He tried to negotiate, but to no avail. This Doctor knows that a Swiss policeman has an insurance that will pay without asking any question. The next day his hotel manager took the policeman to the health station in Khuk Khak where the wound was professionally cleaned and dressed again, which took 15 minutes. The bill was 300 Baht.
