Suan Luang Beach is secluded and paradise-like similar to Ban Krut Beach. It offers, however, more diversion and it is more 'natural', because the road is farther away from the beach.


The beach resorts are located 5 km farther south at KM5 in a tranquil setting amidst coconut plantations on a beautiful and well-tended beach. When the sea is wavy, the water looks grey, and on hot and windless days there are many sand flies. Here, you are quite off the beaten track: no 7 Eleven, banks, or a large choice of bars and restaurants. Many possibilities for shopping are available nearby at the village of Bang Saphan Yai. The morning market is worth the experience.

Lola Bungalow is located in a large palm garden on the beach, shaded by many trees, 10 very small, simple and colorfully painted bungalows with hammocks on wooden verandas are generously scattered around the tropical grounds. Equipped with fan, mosquito net and attached bathroom. There are two mini huts made from plywood with a mattress on the floor and anti mosquito screens at the windows, full of holes for 150 Baht each. There are three new and tiled concrete bungalows for 300 Baht. The small restaurant offering a small choice of Thai food as well as scrambled eggs with toast for breakfast. An easy-going and familiar atmosphere prevails, many regulars and long-time travelers stay here. The owner Sofa speaks English very well, he just renovated the main house and painted it pink,easy to spot! He gives discount for long stay and offers motorcycles for rent.

Poi Bungalow has 4 newer concrete bungalows with fan and attached bathroom, located in a coconut grove directly by the sea. Mr Thavon is very nice and also offers pick-up service from the train station for free.
