Siam Hot Springs have been a popular tourist attraction ever since King Rama V visited them in 1890. One of the Hot springs was used to make lustral water for the Celebrations on the Auspicious Occasion of His Majesty the King’s 5th Birthday.
There are 3 natural spring pools with a temperature of about 65 °C. The water is suitable for bathing and is recommended for both medical treatments and as a relaxing way to ease stress.
Surrounding the hot springs is a deep shaded park called “Raksawarin”, where pavilions for relaxing and washrooms have been provided for visitors.

The Hot Springs are located near Tapo Tharam Temple on H4005, approximately 2 km East of the Provinicial Offices in Ranong.

Apres Ski Guesthouse is managed by Jens who is German and he can organize tours and Visa runs if you wish. The J&D Restaurant in Ranong in Ruang Rat Road is run by Jens and Duang. Naturally it serves German food, too.

The China Guest House is situated a few steps upriver from the hot springs. The front is on the road, the back borders the river. The rooms are nice and equipped with all modern amenities such as fridge, TV and hot water. The owners are very friendly.

Kun Lin Restaurant is located just next to the Hot Springsand it serves very delicious original Thai dishes. They can be quite spicy, though. So when ordering you better choose "mai phet", it will still be spicy enough. Very unique is the Tom Yam Kung Mae Nam, which is made from giant fresh water prawns. They have a much stronger taste than their counterparts from the salt water. Only few places along the Andaman Coast have this delicacy on their menu.
