There are many people who have a sweet tooth. So we give a short description of the small Thai kanom
Sweets (kanom): Thai sweets consist mainly of the following ingredients: Eggs, coconuts, rice flour, cassava and mung beans. For Thai people these beautiful looking delicacies could be even sweeter and they often add a little more syrup. Try these in the night markets and from small street vendors.
Ice cream: Like yogurt, ice cream from large manufacturers is under constant quality control. It is available nearly everywhere in Thailand (ice on stick from 10 Baht; a ball from 15 Baht). At the moment the most popular ice cream brand is “Walls”. International chains such as Swensens and Häagen Dazs have ice cream bars in some cities. Some of them even offer durian ice cream.
Cake: They are usually baked like a biscuit. Colorfully decorated and sometimes filled with syrup or jam, a Thai cake can make your afternoon coffee even sweeter. Delicious and highly recommended are small eclairs with vanilla or chocolate cream filling. Shops like Dunkin' Donuts and Mr. Donut are found in numerous cities.
