Propitiation of the God of Heaven Ritual

Propitiation of the God of Heaven Ritual is always held nine days after the Chinese New Year which falls on the ninth night of the first Chinese lunar month. It is done to worship the angels and thank harm and The Chinese Phuket locals would prepare an assortment of snacks, foods and the symbol of the ceremony which are the twin sugarcane plant and a pagoda made of sugar and place them in front of their houses before the break of dawn.
The worshipping is done between 3 and 6 a.m. and is completed only when the sun rises. Today, most people start the ceremony at midnight for the sake of convenience. Visitors will be able to catch a glimpse of flickering candle lights along the houses from midnight onwards during this time.
