Salads yam

Thai salads (yam) get their special flavor from the sauce. Lemon grass, lime juice, chopped onions, garlic and coriander are mixed with a little nam pla and nam prik and poured over  salad leaves and other ingredients such as shrimps or meat cut in thin slices. Yam mamuang is salad with green mangoes, yam krachup is salad with water chestnuts and if you order yam dtang kwa you will get a cucumber salad.
