Luang Poj Boutique Hostel, a beautifully restored 140 years old building right on the main road, just opened in January 2011. It offers an exclusive ambiance with nice decoration and consists of 8 rooms that are painted in different colors. All are equipped with fan or air conditioning, double bed, bed side tables and large mirror. However, there is no private bathroom and only the two front rooms facing the street have windows, the others are windowless! The shared bathrooms come with several very clean showers and toilets, sinks and large mirrors available as well. The manager Mr. Lew is very friendly and speaks little English. Kiwi Orchid & PL Guesthouse is situated right next to the bus terminal, a brightly painted yellow house about 100 m from Phetchkasem Highway. The friendly owner Jai gives a genuine welcome to her guests and she provides lots of helpful information. You can even store safely your heavy backpack for a couple of hours here. Kiwi Orchid provides a restaurant with many Thai dishes and some western food as well. Delicious Espresso, Cappuccino and Latte made of freshly grounded coffee beans from Ranong Province. The Nong Ying Guesthouse is a typical 24-hour-service-motel, taken care of by a Burmese woman. The rooms are dirt cheap, esp. if used for part of the day only, but the access road is so terribly bad that nobody in his senses will drive there.

The restaurant at Sunny Lodge serves a large choice of European dishes, Espresso and Cappuccino. The management could be more friendly, not many guests.
