Huyong Island (เกาะหูยง - Aew) (PhangNga) Huyong Island, known as Similan Island No. 1, is famous for the whitest and longest beach on the Similan Islands. From November to February is the egg laying season for sea turtles along this beach. There are tracks resembling centipede tracks on the sand from turtles that come ashore to lay eggs. The Huyong Island dive area has a depth of 10 to 15 meters with hard and soft corals. The shallowness of the area allows sunlight to penetrate to the bottom resulting in a region with an abundance of marine life.
