Lang Suan is a district capital in the south of Chumphon Province. It is situated about 12 km from the Gulf of Siam. Along several streets still traditional wooden houses dominate the view.
From Lang Suan south leads the alternative road H4134 through the scenic countryside. You see mile after mile of oil palm groves along the road, as well as endless rubber tree plantations. The stretch between Lamae and Lang Suan is some of the most peaceful rural scenery.
In addition the fairly new road H4019 skirts the beach for most of the way, which offers many picturesque views of the sea. This road is not very popular which is part of the appeal, there are some nice beaches without any foreign tourists but with small resorts and restaurants catering for local Thais on the weekends.
