Thot Kathin

The day after Ok Phansa festival the one-month nationwide celebrated Kathin takes place. Buddhists offering new  saffron cowls, daily necessities  and gifts of money to the monks.
In November
Loy Krathong

On the full-moon night during the twelfth month of the lunar calendar one of the most beautiful Thai festivals takes place.
Krathongs are floated on lakes, rivers, and canals. These small lotus-shaped boats made of banana leaves contain candles, incense sticks, flowers and small coins as offerings for the water spirits.
Some Thai people believe that with the drifting boat their worries and sins will be carried away too; for others, dreams will come true when the candle burns as long as possible. Bangkok (e.g. Lumpini Park), Old Sukhothai (Historical Park) and Chiang Mai (Ping River) are famous for their impressive ceremonies. 
Third Weekend in November
Elephant Round-up

Impressive show and demonstrations of about 200 elephants and their Mahouts entertaining international spectators in Surin, northeastern Thailand.
There are numerous special bus services to this event organized by the tourist office from Bangkok.
End of November/Beginning of December
River Kwai Bridge Festival

A week long festival celebrated at the historical bridge on the River Kwai in Kanchanaburi, west of Bangkok. Among the attractions are train rides with steam engines from the second world war and a light and sound show every evening, visualizing the historic attack on the bridge as well.
