Krabi International Airport (code KBV) is 60 kms from Koh Lanta. You can then take a taxi or minibus to the airport.

By Bus to other destinations

From Krabi, buses depart to all tourist destinations in the south. Likewise buses come from the same destinations to Krabi.

Our two tables may be a guideline for bus transport from the Gulf and from the Andaman coast.

Fares and travel times are the same. You will find the appropriate departure times in your point of departure on signboards at any travel office.

By Minibus to other destinations

Minibuses also called minivans come from all tourist destinations in the south.

Our tables show the departure times from Krabi. Generally these minivans depart from Koh Lanta at 8 and 11 am. Fares and travel times are the same for the opposite direction.

By Boat and Ferry

The passenger boats leave to Krabi, Ao Nang, Koh Jum, Jo Phi Phi or Phuket. They all sail from Ban Saladan at the North end of Koh Lanta.

The car ferries, via Koh Lanta Noi, departs 2 kms East of Ban Saladan. The ferries run from 6.00 am - 10.00 pm. They depart at Saladan Pier, then come into Koh Lanta Noi, you then have to drive for another 6 kms before the second ferry takes you to Hua Hin Pier on the mainland.

Petpailin Tours run the speedboat service to Phuket and Koh Phi Phi. Boats depart at 8.00, 13.00 to Phuket and Koh Phi Phi and at 9.00 to Koh Ngai and Koh Muk.

Sun Island Tours in Lanta Old Town also offers Longtailboat Shuttles.
