Baan Suan Kayoo is located at the northern end of the bay, quiet and in beautiful nature. 10 large wooden bungalows and 14 simple bamboo bungalows with thatched roof, are dotted around an extensive and shady garden with many flowers and trees, all planted and well-tended by Mama. Baan Suan Kayoo is managed by a very nice Koh Phayam family. Many seating areas, very relaxing, nice restaurant with delicious and reasonably priced dishes and a large choice of Thai deserts such as Sweet Taro boiled with Ginger, Sweet Egg boiled in Coconut Milk. Frog Beach House is a very new resort. It is located on a very narrow piece of land, 7 beautifully designed and comfortably furnished en-suite bamboo bungalows in various sizes, no sea view. They are arranged in a long row behind the beach. Restaurant equipped with sturdy and solid wood furnishing, sea view, Thai and western cuisine. Frog Beach House is very quiet, at the time of research no guests, slightly sterile atmosphere. Thai massage on request, boat trips. Just next door to Rasta Baby Bar.

Hornbill Hut is a nice and long-running beach resort with a choice of 15 wood, bamboo and concrete bungalows, individually created, dotted around a shady and well-tended tropical garden, the pricier ones with beautiful furnishings as well. Friends Bungalow just opened in January and it offers a different style of accommodation. Located right on the beach and run by a young and friendly Thai-German couple. 10 large tents with nice and comfortable furnishings are built on a platform with veranda and roof made of natural materials, attached open-air bathroom. Besides that they offer 2 concrete bungalows made of viva-board and wood. Nicky, who is the owner of Friends Bungalow, is an interior designer and he created the resort with many little details. Phayam Lodge is an upmarket beach and diving resort established by a Thai-Swedish couple. Built on large grounds in a newly planted garden with some small trees and no shade, 6 smaller concrete houses and 2 family houses with 3 rooms and living room, kitchen, bathroom. Teak furnishings, hot water, electricity from 6 pm to 8 am. Restaurant under construction, will be opened in the next season. Mr. Kristen has an ecological project for waste water. Silver Sand Resort is located at the southern end of the bay, just after the river. Large grounds on the beach with 14 differently styled en-suite bungalows, wood and concrete options, located under young casuarina trees. Lazy Hut is a recently opened resort with a dozen simple well-priced bamboo huts, all with mattress on the floor, mosquito nets and private western style bathroom. No verandas, but covered bamboo seating with table in front of each bungalow. Beach restaurant with sea view, European and Thai menu. Lazy Hut is managed by Mr. Lek who is very friendly. Many beach chairs and platforms with cushions for relaxing. Clean and quiet. Wi-Fi free for guests.

Long Beach Bungalows moved in 2011 from their old location in the north of the bay. The new Long Beach is right on the beach, by the little path in the south of Ao Yai. The owners Mr. Piak and Mrs. Ranee are very friendly and easy going and they offer bungalows in different sizes and prices. Long Beach Bungalow provides a small restaurant with inexpensive meals, famous for Tom Yam Gung, Cashew Nut Sweet and Sour and the special Pad Thai with curry. Mrs. Ranee won the first prize during a cooking competition in 2008.

K.K. Aowyai Resort is managed by a Thai-Norwegian couple, located on the small path leading to the southern part of Ao Yai, about 250 m before the beach. 6 beautiful, large and comfortably furnished concrete bungalows with air-con, hot water, safe and minibar. K.K. Aowyai Resort has a restaurant with a small menu offering Thai and western dishes, sometimes 'family food' for all guests. Very clean and fresh drinking water. The owner Jan plans to generate electricity with wind power in the near future.

Big Tree Bungalow is located at the southern hill of the bay, close to the jungle with lots of huge and tall trees. 14 wooden and bamboo bungalows in various styles, built behind the beach and on the cliff, all with sea view. Beach restaurant with delicious Thai food. Pad Thai and Coconut Curry are especially recommended. Very nice snorkeling in front of Big Tree Bungalows with beautiful clear water. The friendly owners Mr. Anu and Mrs. Is are from Koh Phayam. Boat trips available, snorkeling equipment, kayaks and motorcycles for rent. Very popular resort.

Palm Beach is a popular low-key place at the southern end of the bay, it offers 8 simple wooden and bamboo huts at various elevations up a hill overlooking the sea. All have bathroom, furnished veranda and excellent sea view. The path going up is sometimes very steep. Palm Beach is managed by Mr. Pon and his wife, who are very quiet and friendly. Restaurant with fresh seafood, reasonably priced. Beach with many rocks, suitable for snorkeling and fishing (from the rocks you can catch squids). Boat trips available. Monthly rates as well (7000/7500 Baht). Peaceful place, right at the end of the beach.

Sunlight Bungalows comprising 5 simple bamboo huts with private bathroom, no veranda, located behind the beach. It is a small and friendly resort, just opened. Managed by Mr. Bee, very quiet.
