Phayam Guesthouse is a newly opened guesthouse in the center of the village, about 200 m from the pier, located in a small and quiet side lane. 6 large, bright and beautifully furnished rooms with private bathroom in a row house. All rooms have tiled floors, top-quality mattress, safe. Phayam Guesthouse is owned by Geir from Norway and he has an internet shop (see chapter “Miscellaneous”) with book exchange, snacks and fast food close by. He offers to send food orders to the guesthouse on request.

The Blue Sky Resort is located about 500 m from the pier, newly opened and very exclusive beach resort with 5 beautiful and spacious villas, thatched roof and sea view. They are built closely to the river and during high tide surrounded by water. All are equipped with high quality furniture, hot water, minibar, TV and safe. Sunrise Bungalows are a newly built resort, not fully completed yet, directly on the beach and just next to Blue Sky Resort. There are 4 bright yellow concrete bungalows with tiled floors and private bathroom, very new and clean. Discount for long stay. A Restaurant is in planning for the next season, at the moment the friendly owner of Sunrise Bungalows, Mr. Chai Nature, provides hot drinks only. He offers guided tours in the jungle of Koh Phayam (4 hours jungle trekking, 2-4 people, 500 Baht/person, including water, coffee and mosquito repellent). About 2 km from here he has a jungle camp, on top of the mountain with beautiful view. Tents for rent or bring your own, bathroom available and small kitchen can be installed. Very quiet, peaceful place, suitable for nature lovers and/or meditation.

Sabai Sabai is a lovely designed and popular resort right on the beach, managed by James from England who takes very well care of his guests and who is socially committed on the island (school project for Burmese children). 5 large en-suite wooden bungalows with verandas are set next to each other on the beach. All are equipped with king size bed and they are nicely furnished and individually decorated, each interior design is characteristic for a country, for example Bali, India. James also built many sitting and relaxing areas, creatively made from natural materials and he planted a beautiful garden with many flowers. Sabai Sabai has a cozy restaurant with western food. For hobby chefs: you are invited to cook your favorite meal for everybody. Internet, movies and poker & karaoke nights on request. Portable DVD player for rent. The resort is about 10 min. walk from the pier (after the pier you turn left, then always straight on, crossing the bridge on your left and just follow the signs). A very homely and friendly place!
