The menu covers German specialties like Weisswurst and Schnitzel and German beers and spirits, such as Underberg, Jaegermeister and Wheat Beer. Mike at Bootshaus bakes sourdough bread, which you can pr-order.

Lanta Beer House is a little bit off the track towards Phra-Ae Elephant Camp. Nonetheless it is worth going there for Thai or German food in a quiet atmosphere. Richard, the German owner does the German cooking and Tschup, his wife is responsible for mouthwatering Thai dishes. Sport events are shown on a big screen and many expatriates meet there. Red Snapper Restaurant is situated in a lush tropical garden set back from the road to Ban Saladan. Red Snapper is run by a Dutch couple, Joyce and Eddy. They serve Fusion food made from local ingredients as well as tapas and nice deserts. The bar corner is nicely decorated.They have bungalows for rent too.

The Tavern is a restaurant at the beginning of Phra Ae beach area specializing in Western food. The Tavern offers excellent Tex-Mex food, steaks, lamb, bangers and mash, fish & chips, etc. Italian dishes also, plus children's menu and desserts. The Tavern serves an 'all day English breakfast', a LARGE mug of good coffee is recommended!! Beers, wine, cocktails and fresh fruit drinks available. Good service from smiling Thai staff with quite good English provides a warm welcome.

Faim de Loup French Bakery opened its doors in 2002. Serge and his team offer friendly services in a nice ambiance. Try the home-made pastries, breads and croissants. Either have them there prepared as your favorite sandwich or take them home. A must are the Quiches that Faim de Loup does; have a fruit shake or your choice of fresh coffee with it. Faim de Loup also does cakes and tarts made to order. The second branch called Cafe au Lait is situated in Klong Dao Beach at the entrance of Southern Lanta.
