Officially called Nang Thong Beach Resort, the Nang Thong 2 was one of the first bungalow resorts at Nang Thong Beach. The very popular resort has 25 beachfront and garden bungalows, 7 double story buildings, called villas, with 4 rooms, almost all with sea view. The Sea Fan Bed & Breakfast is situated at the beginning of Khao Lak opposite of the Laguna Resort. It was completely renovated and has very clean rooms that are most of the time fully occupied. There are 4 cheaper rooms with no window, and 10 standard double rooms, all with airconditioning. In the ground floor there is the small breakfast restaurant with a bar and tour counter. The manageress, Khun Sao, is very friendly, she does her utmost for her guests.

The Khaolak C-Nior Bungalows are situated just behind the roadside buildings at the southern end of Khao Lak Center on the ocean side. In 5 minutes walk you are at the beach. The bungalows and a row house are located in a tropical garden both sides of a swimming pool. The bungalow rooms look simple, but are fully equipped with TV, fridge and warm water shower. The hotel rooms are of good middle class standard and contain all modern amenities, even a safe. The staff are friendly and eager to please every guest. The room rates are very economical and good value for money.

Well built bungalows are very comfortable inside, with modern facilities. There are Garden Rooms and Garden Cottages under coconut trees. The resort is about 500m walk from the beach. The restaurant serves Thai, International and seafood dishes.

Tiffy's Café offers rooms like a dormitory. All rooms feature large ceiling fans, environment with three outside bathrooms. Rates start at 180 baht for 6 persons, 250 baht for 3 persons and 400 baht for double room. All rooms include free WiFi. Restaurant and bicycle rental are also available.

Walkers Inn is a guesthouse beside Phetkasem Highway near the south end of Khao Lak. Walkers Inn is located in a 3-storey townhouse. It comprises of a guesthouse for backpackers and a restaurant and bar on the ground floor. A bed in a dormitory starts from 150 Baht per night. The owner, an older Englishman, takes good care of all facilities and the equipment in his guesthouse.
